Barbara, Larry, and Karen, I just saw in the Trib about your mom, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I have vivid memories of visiting with your mom regularly after services, during the many years I was singing at Solel. She was always so warm and effusive, and teased me well into my 40's about South Pacific with Larry at Elm Place! Barbara, I've been thinking about you and your mom recently, wondering how she was doing, and wanting to thank you again for all your support in getting my mom situated at BV (where she's still on that "journey.") I know you cherished your mother, and no one ever could've taken better care of a parent than you. You were all lucky to have each other. May her memory always be for a blessing.

It was my honor to learn more about your mother's life through the beautiful words spoken during her funeral service. What a beautiful awesome life she lived and family she nourished and treasured. May you have peace through these difficult days remembering how you reflect the values and love she gave so abundantly to all of you. With love from Jacqui

Sue was a good friend and I mourn her loss. We spent pleasant hours together in the cause of historic preservation and landscape history. I learned a good deal from her and always enjoyed her great store of knowledge and her enthusiasm. Her contributions to Chicago culture and history will be remembered, including her excellent history of the Chicago Horticultural Society. My sympathies.
