SARAH--MY FRIEND AND INSPIRATION

Throughout our long friendship I have witnessed Sarah facing many of life's challenges. And the strength and resilience she has shown has always been, and will always be, a source of inspiration for me.

Even throughout this almost year-long struggle with physical challenges, I have seen her determined to keep up her friendly outreach to others, show concern for their problems, and maintain a certain cheerfulness and optimism. And, even on very difficult days, she could take joy in the simplest of pleasures...like 'broccoli cheese soup and a croissant' from the Corner Bakery...or singing some old familiar tune.

Her life's journey has been difficult. But it has been filled with love and giving. To me, she is indeed a Woman of Valor.

Hi Deana, Ron, and Leora,
I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother. She meant so much to me and I am having a hard time not being there today. I want you to know that my heart and love are with you all. Love, Debby xoxo.
.
I am so glad Sarah came into our lives and that I had the privilege of getting to know her.
I still vividly remember the first time I met her, and after our conversation, I thought she was the loveliest woman.
She endeared herself to me right from the start, before she and my dad were good friends, and I knew there was something extra-special about her.

Sarah always made me feel so special and cared about what was going on in my life. I always looked forward to visiting with her and spending time together with her.
Her warmth and kindness extended to my children as well. She was incredibly wonderful to my children. The kindness and love she showed Jonathan, drawing from her teaching background, was truly beautiful. She was equally wonderful to my girls, always going out of her way to make them feel special. I will never forget how she ensured that Noelle had a birthday celebration when we visited, making her feel special despite missing her actual birthday.

I recently had the chance to see Sarah when I was in the Chicago area, and I am so grateful for that time spent with her and that I was able to tell her how much I love her.

The friendship and relationship that she had with my dad was beautiful. I loved seeing them so happy together. I am incredibly thankful for the special time that they shared, and through their bond I got to know some of her wonderful family. Her smile will always stay close to my heart, and she will always have a special place in my heart. xoxo
