On behalf of the entire Karson family, and especially on behalf of Matt Karson, we offer our deepest and most sincere condolences and love to you. Floyd was like a big brother to Matt. As his Boy Scouts leader, Matt absolutely loved Floyd, and the two reconnected shortly before Matt’s own unexpected passing in 2016. May Floyd’s memory be a blessing, and God bless Floyd and his entire family.

Floyd Rubin has revved his Harley one last time and ridden off into the great cosmic sunset.

The man simply rode off to see what kind of parties they’re throwing upstairs.

Rest easy, sweet prince.

We want Floyd’s family to know how much we enjoyed hearing his stories at shul. He talked a lot about his son and his success starting a business and then moving it out to Washington. He was very proud of him.

Floyd had many funny stories about the old days and protecting people in the neighborhood. He cherished his days as a scout leader. Those relationships lasted a lifetime.

We loved hearing about his father and how much his father enjoyed fishing. He took such amazing care of his father.

Floyd told us about his friend Linda and how much she enjoyed the hamburgers he’d make. He was very dedicated to taking care of all her needs.

We also enjoyed chatting about politics and laughed when he would show up in his colorful t-shirts espousing his view of the current state of affairs. We will miss him very much.
