I am so saddened by Shelly’s passing…despite her diminutive size, she was always a huge force to be reckoned with, and I always got a tremendous kick out of her. I looked forward to seeing her on my August visits to Chicago and cherish the 50+ years that I knew her. To Marcie, Ralph, Vicki, Steven, Jordan, Aubree and Haylee, may her memory always be a blessing.

While most people knew her as Shelly, we always called your mom Rochelle. In so many ways, she will forever be the little six-year-old girl that approached my beloved mother on the way to school some 90 years ago and suggested that they walk together to first grade. So began a beautiful and magical friendship that spanned more than 85 years. We were shocked and saddened to learn of her sudden and unexpected passing and send our condolences and thoughts to the family that loved her so much. It is our hope that you can find some comfort as you recall her long and remarkable life. We are certain that the girls of Senn High School and their husbands are finally together again!
