Red
Was a man who always brought warmth and happiness into the room . I recall seeing him at his grocery store when I was selling items for my Dad’s business. He was always kind to me as one of the few women saleswomen at that time. He will truly be missed but his life as a role model on how to treat people will be forever lasting in everyone that has the opportunity to know him. My Dad, Joe will surely be greeting him at the gates of Heaven.

I have fond memories of my time working as a cashier at Ordman's in the summer during college. Red was a man of absolute integrity and kindness. I offer my condolences to his family, especially my dear friend Sheila.

So sorry for your loss. We have many fond memories of Red. He was a 'Class Act' and treated everyone with respect. (Even the smart-ass young kid from across the alley)

The service was a fitting tribute to Red's amazing life. A man who was always friendly, generous, kind, loving, charitable, happy, optimistic and supportive. We will always remember him. He will forever be in our hearts. We wish the family peace. Love, Bob

Abe “Red” Ordman was a close friend for over seventy-five (75) years with my late husband (E. Marvin Ludwig) .

The Ordman and Ludwig families have been intertwined personally, professionally and as longtime Lemont residents.

I am so thankful of the memories from time spent with Red (and Adeline). Red was a true gentleman and a kind & caring friend to me, Marvin and our two sons.

Red was a childhood neighbor with Marvin, a business partner in Lemont Savings & Loan Association and a life-long companion. The two men shared so many treasures together, they were blessed to have each other in their lives. Just like we have all been fortunate, to have known Red.

My condolences and sympathy to Pam, Sheila, Marla, Lisa and the extended Ordman family.

Most sincerely,
Rita Ludwig
