What a blow! Uncle Yoel was such a loving, caring, generous person. He always did the right thing, said things as they are, and gave of everything that Hashem gave him, physically and of his personality. My children remember how with a broken leg and his breathing machine he shocked us by coming up my huge staircase to see our view of the Kotel and Har HaBayit. We'll never forget it, and we loved him so much! May Hashem comfort each one of you in your tremendous loss of your husband, father, brother, grandfather.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to David Maier & family. Just before retiring in 2007, Mr. Mauer personally made a beautiful wedding cake for me---from his heart to mine at minimal cost. I will never forget meeting such a fine gentleman along with his wife Mrs. Mauer. To the family, continue to seek God for strength and steadfast faith, He will see you through these difficult hours of bereavement! Rest from your labor Mr. Mauer, God is well pleased with the works you have done. Fondly, Kathy Thompson-Johnson
