We encourage you to share your personal condolences and stories of Merle A. Friedman below and we will share them with the family.

Merle was one-of- a-kind. I was lucky to spend a lot of time at the Friedman house in Lincolnwood during my formative years and am grateful to her for that. She had a sharp and quick wit. A lot of fond memories including her epic refrigerator magnet collection, her famous mandel bread (were there plans to sell it nationwide?). She exposed me to a lot of Jewish passions and tradition, including a love for Israel, what a Sukkah is and the best Cholent!

May her memory be a blessing to you all.!

I have known Merle since 1992. We shared a lot of family stories over the years. She was very proud of her family and loved spending time with them. We also shared many dining experiences and laughter over a great meal. I loved our friendship and shall miss her

My deepest condolences to all of Merle’s family. I was Merle’s supervisor when she was a social work intern at Juvenile Protective Association. She was a diligent student and wanted to learn all she could about how to provide the best services to her clients. We stayed in touch for many years and I remember being at your home in Lincolnwood. May God bless all of her family.
