Though we only had the privilege to know Dovi a short time, we were so taken by his loving personality. This obviously was a result of all the love which you gave him.
May his sweet neshama be a mai-litz yashar for the entire family and klal yisroel.

Dear Porush family,

Woww im so sorry for your lost!

A few days before I heard Dovi was sick I randomly started thinking about him! I will always remember that out little league baseball team could always count on Dovi cheering us on behind that back stop. It didn't matter what the weather was rain or shine or even in the freezing cold he was there! He cheered on everyone didn't matter who, with of course the biggest smile on his face! He was the best!!
I loved that any time I got to Dovi he gave me the biggest hug. I will always miss Dovi!!

I have such fond memories of Dovi in my Kindergarten class at Hillel Torah!
He always had a smile on his face, and all the students wanted to be with him!
He taught all of us so much about a life well-lived!
I know how amazing you worked to give Dovi whatever he needed.
May all your good memories of Dovi help to bring you comfort during this difficult time!
Fondly,
Zenia Cohen
(We live in Israel, so I will not be able to be there in person).

Dovi brought so much light into my life and my education at Schechter and Ida Crown. Just the other day I saw a photo of Dovi and remembered his smile, his handshake, and his joy walking down the hall and saying hi to all of our friends every day. Dovi taught me what a good life is and how to appreciate the little things that are far often taken for granted. We davened, ate, learned, talked. We loved Dovi and will always cherish him as a vital member of our community. May his neshamah gedolah have an aliyah and may his memory be a blessing that continues to bring joy into all of our lives.

I was a nurse with Michelle Rappaport for years at Keshet. Dovi was one of the most special people in our world. Michelle called me this afternoon to tell me of her
friends passing. I haven't seen him in a long time but the last time I did He still remembered me! He made me feel special!
May Jehovah Rapha help your family get through this difficult time.

It was my great privilege to be Dovi's nurse and social worker at Keshet during his younger years. His beautiful smile and lovely nature endeared him to all his fellow students, teachers and staff at both Keshet and Solomon Schechter. I have always thought about him with such fondness. Dear Dovi will forever be a blessing to all who had the great honor to know him, care about him and be in awe of his life.

Dovy, I am heartbroken after receiving this tough news—I’ve lost one of my adult students. He always made me feel so special every time he saw me. The way he pronounced my name, Shanniqueeeee, was unforgettable. On September 19, 2024, he hugged me so tightly, like it was his last. Little did I know, it actually was. I’m so grateful to have had the chance to make a difference in his life, just as he made a difference in mine. My heart goes out to his family, and I’m keeping them in my prayers. 💙🙏🏾

After viewing Dovi’s funeral, I am in awe of your beautiful family. I kept thinking throughout how hard it must have been for you to raise a physically challenged son along with triplets. And yet what wonderful, kind, sensitive and articulate adults they have grown to be. It is a testament to your parenting, and the love and care that was evident in your home. I only knew Dovi as a little boy, when Dina would bring him over to hang out with him, but even then it was clear how truly special he was. I am so sorry for your loss.

Gidon and I first met Dovi when Tzvi and Shana got engaged. For me it was love at first sight. Dovi exuded such joy and love for everyone he met. We had the pleasure of seeing him at family simchas, watching him dance, and enjoy every moment. He managed to put a smile on every face. He'll be missed by all. May he be a Meilitz Yosher for all of Klal Yisroel.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dovi while working for Keshet. In all the years that I worked for Keshet, there was not a day that I didn’t smile when I saw Dovi. He could light up any room. He truly had the biggest heart and the funniest jokes. He will be missed greatly.

Sending so much love to the Porush family on the passing of your beloved Dovi. I had the great zechut of having been a friend of Dovi's in middle and high school. We would eat lunch together numerous times per week, and I always looked forward to experiencing Dovi's joyous energy. He was never short of questions and was always delighted to spend time together. Dovi had such a special neshama and brought so much light and warmth to every room. I am honored to have grown up alongside him.

May his neshama have an aliayh...
