OBITUARY

Alexander Weiss was born in Philadelphia, PA, the third son of Harry and Hilda Weiss. He died in Evanston, IL on February 1, 2023 at age 72. He was the Director of the Center for Public Safety at Northwestern University. When he retired, he began consulting with police departments and eventually started Alexander Weiss Consulting, LLC which specialized in staffing studies. He is survived by his second mother, Sandy Weiss; his spouse Susan, daughter Hillary; three brothers Edmond, Mark and Steven; sisters Kit, Barbara, Debbie, Nance, Margery, and their spouses and children. And many friends. He will be missed. A Celebration of Life in his honor will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2023, 1pm at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd., (at Niles Center Road) Skokie, IL. We are so sorry we cannot attend the celebration of life service for Alex,in his honor, we have reserved a table at Adams Mountain Cafe to spend some time and remember the many meals we enjoyed there together. With loving thoughts from Colorado,

So sorry to hear the news of Alex passing. I met Sue and Alex back in the early 70s when my wife Connie worked with Sue. Alex and I always told stories .He was on the police department. I was a fire fighter . Many many years of memories. Always enjoyed meeting up with Sue and Alex when they came to Colorado Springs. Rest in peace Alex. Jim White
