Heartfelt condolences to Jill, Matthew, Dani and family. Your Mom will truly be missed. I had the privilege of playing Mahjong with Delphine, Jill & Sherry on some Tuesday’s at Belmont. We had so much fun. Delphine would say “I forgot how to play”.and would sit quietly studying her tiles while Jill, Sherry and I gabbed, then all of a sudden Delphine would say “Maj”!!! We would all laugh. It was the best.
Love, Rhona

What can you say about someone you’ve known your entire life and not even be related by blood or marriage? We were neighbors with the Keers for over 30 yrs. until my folks moved to Florida in the early 90’s. After that, Jill and I remained friends and Delphine watched our kids grow up. It brought her so much joy to talk about the old days, the old neighborhood and of course her grandchildren Matthew and Dani.
Delphine loved to play Maj Jong. We played with her on Tuesdays for over two years. While her short term memory was declining, she could still play the hard hands. Even when she thought she forgot how to play, it turned out she had Maj! We didn’t care if we won - the important part is that we were with her and she had fun!
I will miss your smile, your snarkiness and you saying “love you more” when we said good bye. Rest easy Delphine and get that Maj game going with my mom and aunt. Until we meet again…..ONE BAM 🩷🀄️
