I was greatly blessed to have several years with Burrell as a VA companion/caregiver. He shared clear memories of much of his very well-lived life,, from WWII Submarine engineering to the Sears Tower gift shop with his beloved wife. And of course, the WIND years .

When I started, he was singing with Frank Sinatra CDS, and his voice and knowledge of the lyrics was absolutely amazing. We sang together.

Right up to his last days, he as determined to take whatever a day brought. A wonderful example I wish to follow. His caring family also became like mine. May they all be granted continued happy memories, and assurance that he was made comfortable in their love.
