Michal Susan Heifitz Golden, 67. Beloved wife of Craig Golden. Loving mother of Sara Golden (Emmett Adler), Teddy Golden (Melissa Golden) and Eli Golden. Adored Bubbie of August Adler, Leo Adler and Noli Golden. Dear sister of Miriam (Syd) Foreman, Daniel Heifitz, Deborah (Keith) Porter, Joel Heifitz and the late Judy (Jerry) Leterman. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. Devoted daughter of Jack & Shirley Heifitz. Fond sister-in-law of Lonnie Golden and daughter-in-law of Marilyn (Simon) Golden. Treasured friend of many. Michal was such a shining light!!! She was always always warm and open and caring anytime we bumped into each other around town. I know she did such good work too at the center for independent futures and I’m so sad for all her family and for her that she passed away much too young!

Dear Craig,

I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. I can't even imagine how heartbroken you must be. Someone once told me that, when you lose a spouse who is truly your partner, it's as though a part of you has died. I know we use the cliche that its takes a village to raise our kids, but it is absolutely true that Michal helped raise our Max. She cared for him, and so many other friends of your children, like they were her kids. Such a special person. We will all miss her greatly.

Michal and Craig, my favorite cousins and humans. I cannot fathom the world without Michal alive in it. I was so so sorry and sad to hear about Michal. She was an amazing person, a very supportive camp committee member, a wonderful boss, someone who always was present in her actions, words and thoughts. I can't begin to imagine how difficult this must be. She was the firm strength backing up her family, friends and community
