I knew Marilyn for a short time thru Roy Baker. I was impressed by her open and happy attitude. Roy found a great person to share his life. So sad it was short.
My deepest condolences and God Bless.

I was so sad to know that Marilyn had passed on. But one thing that we will always carry with us are the memories we made together. I was one of Marilyn’s caretaker for a little bit and I was honored to have met her. She was very silly, funny, genuine and always in high spirits. Despite her illness she always managed to shine through and I am delighted to share that she was a wonderful human being regardless of the circumstances.

My condolences to her family.

We will always give thanks for Marilyn and Alan Takiff who gave us Neal Takiff. He is the best brother-in-law, son-in-law, and uncle a family could ask for. I enjoyed learning where Neal acquired his love of music. Thank you Marilyn and public libraries! And, I am also grateful to Roy for making it possible for Marilyn to live in her home for as long as she could. Our sincere condolences during this time of mourning. Anna

I always knew her as Aunt Mimi. She was a wonderful aunt. As a kid, I would see her at most twice a year, but she always showed my sister and me so much love. When she and Uncle Alan would visit us in the Catskills of NY, she seemed genuinely interested in the things we were doing. She wanted to learn what our interests were, who our friends were and what hobbies we had. She made me feel special. When we would visit her in Northbrook, she made us feel at-home. My sister and I grew up very differently, but she was always accepting and loving of our family.

I am so grateful to Roy for his love and commitment to my aunt. I send my heartfelt condolences to Roy and the entire family.

With warm regards,
Daniel
