I had the pleasure of knowing Aaron as an opponent and a friend for over 40 years of practicing before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission. As a young lawyer I wanted to work as his associate and lobbied him for the opportunity to do so but he reserved the spot for his daughter, Francine. I was always a friendly opponent of both him and Francine and always enjoyed their company. One year my wife and I sponsored a fund-raiser for the homeless at the Brookfield Zoo and Aaron and his family joined us and gave us their support which we greatly appreciated. He was always one of my favorites. I loved seeing him get his dander up while aggressively representing his clients. He was a terrific competitive lawyer and a wonderful person and friend.

I have known Aaron for 46 years, at first through law then as a friend. As time passed we were linked further after his great friend ( my law partner) Terry Van Driska passed in 1995. I remember Aaron as: a lawyer's lawyer, very honorable always following the rule of law, proudly dedicated to his family and faith, a zealous fisherman, dapper dresser plus one who enjoyed fine dining in the loop.
As we say with great respect in our Greek tradition- May His Memory Be Eternal.

I shared many moments with Aaron growing up as an attorney at the Commission, both as an adversary and as a friend. These are moments are preserved in my memory, precious and cherished for all time.

Dearest Bea, So very sorry to learn of your loss of Aaron. It has been too long since our early days as neighbors in Glenview. It is with great fondness that I think about those days. Continue to have "Nachous" from your children and grand children.
