Dear Stuart,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Helene was so kind and special and loving. She cared for you and your father like nothing else. We will miss her smile and special way bringing light into a room. Here is a hug.

I have two very fond memories of her that I’ll share. My wife Gloria and I had the honor of her and Stuart’s company; having them over for my family Thanksgiving the year Ed had passed.
The character traits of Helene that I experienced are true blue friendship, and the love connected with that. As we all ate and got to know each other better over the evening, I could see that look in her eyes.
I believe it was the look of acceptance, love, maybe even pride. I felt taken in by Helene, as a son.
Towards the end, I was fortunate to visit Helene in the care facility on one of Stuart’s music nights. I was deeply touched and moved with emotion with her reaction to seeing me.
She cried what I believe was tears of joy, and we exchanged our mutual love through our extended gazes. Helene is the shining life example of connection and love.
