My heart is heavy upon hearing the sad news of Betty's passing.
I met her when I was only 12 years old, which was 60 years ago. Marj and I were inseparable during our teen years and her mom was very much like a second mom to me. I spent so many memorable days (during junior high and high school) in her home and kitchen baking and laughing and sharing many meals with the family. She was fun and funny and had a heart of gold. After I moved away from Skokie to Southern California and then eventually to Tucson, anytime I came back to Chicago to visit I would naturally spend time with Marjie and thus share at least one meal with Betty. She always displayed a caring attitude and genuine interest in my life as those years continued to pass by.
I know she was deeply devoted to and always included in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great grand children.
She will be greatly missed and surely remembered by them all and so many others whose lives she touched.
I send my heartfelt condolences to all the family as well as prayers for comfort, peace and gentle days of mourning.
May her memory be a blessing. With much love sent your way, "Cydriff"

What a beautiful service for an obviously beautiful woman. A true matriarch that left a long-lasting legacy of a big, warm family. It's clear how big an impact she had on all your lives, and how much she will be both missed and remembered. Kathy and I are so lucky that we got to meet her, even though it was just for a short while. Zichrona Livracha - may her memory be a blessing.

With love
Danny & Kathy
