My heart goes out to Lou and your entire family. Lya inspired me as a graduate student at Columbia College, and became a friend through my work at the Israeli Consulate. I fondly remember lunches together and hours spent listening to stories, opinions, and brilliant ideas. I will always remember Lya as one of the strongest and most brilliant women to have come into my life. May her memory be a blessing.
