Dear Robin, Aviva and Marla,

I echo the rest of the family in my expressions of sorrow at your mom's passing. I have such wonderful memories of both of your parents. I credit your mom for instilling in me the “travel bug.” My whole family took the Denver Zepher all the way to Colorado for their wedding — the farthest I had ever been from Chicago! And my first time in the mountains! What a thrill. It was shortly after my Bat Mitzvah, so I wore my Bat Mitzvah dress tot eh wedding. I’m smiling as I write this - just remembering. I know you have many many memories that will sustain you in this time of sorrow.
All our love.

When I think of Ann I think of a beautiful woman; beautiful in every way. Physically, she could have been a movie star, with a gorgeous figure. Mentally, we always had deep conversations about the educational work to which we both so committed and engaged. We were both searching for new ways to support students, especially those who were the most challenging., Then there was our Pioneer Wormen activities; lox boxes and meetings which served our need for social engagement as women; outside of and with our families. She was the consummate hostess. I knew I’d enjoy the spread that she’d lovingly provide. She seemed to enjoy her relationship with Burt, and I was in awe of her constant devotion to and care for her family,. To a spirited woman who added so much to this world I say, “TA DA”. Maybe I’ll adopt her practice when I finish something, It seems like a great way to honor Ann’s “:can do” spirit.
