Aileen Heller, 91, of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, died peacefully in her sleep, January 8, 2022. Aileen was born in the city of Chicago, to parents Etta & Julius Solutin, on November 15th, 1930.

She grew up in the city and attended Senn High School where she met her high school sweetheart, Earl Heller. They were married in 1950, and just recently celebrated their 71st anniversary this past summer. Aileen was a bookkeeper by vocation and though a devoted homemaker, she worked part-time over the years in sales and education. For many years she also worked alongside her husband in the shoe business and two of them set up their own store, Shoes Plus, where Aileen kept the books, sold shoes, and modeled the product whenever she could. Aileen loved playing the piano, Mahjong and was very active in a gourmet dinner group she founded called “The Maven’s”.

Aileen is survived by her husband, Earl Mitchell Heller of Buffalo Grove, Illinois. She is also survived by her children; Leslee (Paul) Fivelson; Julie (Ken) Saul; Scott (Deb) Heller; Grandchildren; Kimberly (Ed) Sutherland; Derek (Molly) Fivelson; Kelly (John) Kelleher;
Lauren (Ryan) Fournier; Laurel Heller, and Darrin Heller. Aileen was also blessed with 6 great grandchildren: Ari, Preslee, Sydney, Camryn, Jacob, and Gilda.
