Sophia M. Altfeld nee Minacker, age 95 died on February 3, 2024.
Beloved wife of the late Harvey Altfeld. Loving mother of Susan (Lee Gorsky) Altfeld and Lynn Altfeld and her partner Kurt Loeffler. Proud grandmother of Alex Gorsky. Sister of Asenath Rasher. Devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her caregiver Allysa Sorronda for her loving care. Service Monday February 5th at 2:00 PM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd (at Niles Center Road), Skokie. Interment Private. Susie and Lynn,
We are so sorry for your loss! Sophie was always kind and fun to be with. I remember going to Fannie’s house when I was a young and Sophie always making the kids feel included. She and my mother were very close cousins. I also enjoyed talking to her. When O was older . She told my cousins and I about our family history. We will miss her.
