Dear David, Nanette, Robbie, Jackie and the whole Penzell family:

Selma's passing is the end of an era. I have known Selma for close to 60 years, as the mom of my dearest friend David, a teacher, camp director, role model, friend, and a wonderful person who has given so much to Judaism and to the education of others. Words cannot express the love I have for Selma. She was one in a million. Lori and I, and the entire Eisenberg family convey our heartfelt sympathies and condolences on the passing of a most wonderful person. Selma will be missed, but the stories and memories will go on forever.

Love,
Jay, Lori and the entire Eisenberg family.

David, I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. What a character she was! I met her on only a couple of occasions, but she could sure captivate an audience with her stories. It seemed like she was curious about and interested in everything and everyone--she was one lively lady. May her memory be a blessing.

Selma was a wonderful wife to Milt, an incredible mother in-law, and an amazing grandmother. She was a good, kind, person and a lot of fun. It took a lot of courage for a twice widowed woman to marry a man 10 years older than her, but Selma was a brave and resilient woman. As I think of her, I can feel her laughter and joy. She was wonderful.
