I remember Howard coming as a regular to Current Events at the VI where we both lived. He and Marlene were active participants in the meetings. His absence with be noted as we meet tomorrow.
I wish I had know him better. He was a true renaissance man. I would have wanted to ask him about his experiences in Korea and and as an owner of race horses!

Howard became a member of City of Hope upon his marriage to Marlene. He proved to be a generous donor and quite a Mensch. He had a brilliant mind and was quite interested in many subjects which he shared upon conversations that came up., I had a personal connection with him which came about when we discovered that he was a partner in business with one of my late first cousins, Mel Ehrlich. I found him to be quite a nice gentle man and I send my deepest condolences to Marlene and the whole extended family. He will be missed.
