Aunt “J” became a wonderful extended family member, when her dear nephew, Gene, married my sister, Sharon. Sharon, thankfully, got Aunt Jeanette ‘s “seal of approval”. Before meeting Aunt Jeanette, I heard many a funny story about Aunt Jeanette, what she had achieved, places she’d been, gifts she had received and her many accomplishments. I was a bit intimidated when I did get to meet her. I found a lady who loved life, loved a good prank, loved good food, loved a good joke and she loved her friends. But most of all it was apparent how much she loved Gene. So, while I’m sad that Gene had to lose his beloved aunt, I’m glad she finally found the peace she deserved.
