I met Andi at Kibbutz Yiron in 1974. We instantly Hit it off and realized we had a lot in common. We both came back to the United States, got married, and had all boys. We were both early childhood educators, and after we both got divorced, we used to laugh about all the things our boys were doing. We were truly sisters, and that sense and I will always love and miss her terribly

Andrea will be remembered for her kind and caring nature. She was so helpful to us with information and suggestions when our family traveled to Israel. When we communicated online she had such proud stories about her family. Family was everything to her. May her memory be a blessing.

Andrea was my closest friend in grammar school, at Cleveland Elementary, where we met in third grade.
We rode our bikes on most days as well as played games of our own imaginations .
Sadly, we have not spoken for several years, but she will always be with me.
Her name will be remembered as a blessing.

I am so saddened to hear of Andrea's death. I will forever treasure the friendship we shared and the long talks we had about everything when we were neighbors on Church Street. Our children played together, her oldest sons babysat my children, and years later when we moved one or two of you helped us to unpack all of our books. I remember how proud she was of each of her children, the empathy and concern she had for those of her children and students who were going through difficulties, and how much she loved her children and grandchildren. She proudly showed me all the pictures and was so excited to do so and so proud. She was so caring and compassionate, she was truly one of the most wonderful people I have ever been honored to know. We are in Israel now, so will not be able to participate in the funeral. We are thinking of all of you. May Hashem comfort her family, and all of us, and may her memory be for a blessing.

I first met Andrea a few years ago, as we were both members of Skokie Central Synagogue. We shared a fondness & love for dogs. Her affection for her lab, Loki was contagious. Andrea was so special and quite interesting. She always had a story or meaningful opinion to share. Her love for her children and grandchildren was tremendous. I always looked forward to seeing Andrea, due to the warmth, friendliness and positive energy that were a part of who she was. She will be missed. We hope that Loki will find a loving home.

The Parke family was so very sad to learn of Andrea's death. Both of our sons attended Gan Shalom and greatly benefitted from being in her classroom. Her wisdom, love, and sense of humor left an indelible mark on our family. Thank you Deutch family for sharing your beautiful matriarch with so many of us.
