I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. When I first started working at Nalco, I sat right next to Claude’s office. He was such a nice man and made me feel very comfortable starting a new job. He would stop by my desk and we’d just chit chat for a few minutes. I’m sure he will be deeply missed.

Claude showed me, a fellow Nalco employee, that one could mix a positive attitude, a sense of humor, and professionalism many times during interpersonal meetings.

The final prayer in our church’s funeral service states, “May his or her memory be eternal”. My belief is that many of Claude’s traits and values have a chance to be eternalized through the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Claude was a friend to so many of us at Nalco. He still continued to connect with his many colleagues through Facebook. That makes his passing all the more sad. May his memory be a blessing.

Dear Claude Wolf, our love we do send.
You are the BEST: husband, dad, friend.
Believe me when I say
we’ll be with you some day,
in a world that will NEVER end.

I had the pleasure of working with Claude for over 20 years. We were in the same small department at Nalco. Claude was always friendly and helpful, and a friend. His wife Kippy is also friendly and helpful, and a friend. She helped my wife and me for many years, as our travel agent/ advisor.

We are not related (same last name, spelled differently), but at work, I jokingly said that Claude was my dad, or NOT my dad, depending on the circumstances!

Dear Kippy, Karen, Dan and Amy and family: Our hearts go out to you all during this difficult time. Claude was such a joy and blessing to anyone he met. As a second father to me in my childhood and into my adult years, I will always cherish his memory. Please accept our sincere sympathy and love.

My condolences to Claude’s family. I worked with Claude at Nalco for many years, especially during my Research days. As a Technical Director my research groups developed many new chemical products and Claude made sure all the E H&S requirements were met. I enjoyed Claude’s wry comments, criticisms and critiques. I always trusted his advice and recommendations. Claude was a genuinely good person and friend.
Peace be upon his soul.

Kippy

Teri and I were both saddened to hear of Claude's passing. I was sitting this afternoon thinking of Claude and a flood of memories came into my head. Claude always let me tag along with him whenever I was over at Aunt Lottie's house. Claude was my favorite cousin; he always made me laugh. I thought he was so cool; he was the closest thing to a rebel that I knew. I remember him taking me to White Sox games and all the Sundays we worked at our dad's grocery store. He was not the most reliable employee (he didn't always get up in time to come to the store) which I thought was very cool. When Claude was a young teenager, he didn't always follow the rules which again I thought was very cool.
When I started college my first thought of a career was to be a biologist like Claude. By that time Claude was not a rebel, but a role model. As it turned out, I didn't have much of an aptitude for science.
I always felt close to Claude, and I remember the few times he came out to California on business, and we would have a lunch or dinner. Claude had an easy-going joyous way about him. I am sorry I didn't stay in touch with him in these later years; but I will always keep him in my memory.

The best thing I can say about Claude is he was a good person, and he will be missed

I worked with Claude for many years in the same department at Nalco. He was kind, extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. I remember him sharing stories of Blackhawks hockey games, online chess matches, events at Ravinia and fantastic vacations with his wife, Kippy. My condolences to his family.
