Funeral Details

I met Henry when we were about twenty. Over the years, our friendship grew. Over the years, we had the honor of hosting him for Pesach and Rosh Hashanah.
Personally, when I went to purchase my second home, I needed an additional $25,000 to qualify for the mortgage. Henry told me that he'd loan me $25,000 until a second mortgage could be put in place. Without Henry, I would have never been able to afford that mortgage.
He was always a good friend, and I will miss him.

Henry was a good friend and fun to be with. At A1 Mortgage I was his Personal Assistant. He had what I called the Magic Drawer we would laugh at what he put in there. I saw him the day before he moved. I will miss him very much.

It’s so hard to say goodbye to such a special friend as Henry. We’ve been friends since high school and have
shared so much despite the fact that I moved to Boston. If I looked up the word “mensch” in the dictionary, I would expect to see Henry’s picture. He was a man of integrity, a caring and generous person and he loved his family and friends more than anything. I will always remember his beautiful smile, infectious laugh and zest for life. So sorry for all of our loss. Henry’ mother, Trudy, z”l, was Barry’s first cousin. Henry always greeted us with that special smile of his. We were able to livestream the funeral from Denver. We hope your sweet memories bring you some comfort. He will be missed.

I met Henry 35 years ago. Upon the initial interaction when we met Henry's genuine warmth and kindness was abundant. Thereafter, for over 3 decades of a friendship with Henry he was unwavering in his display of interest, kindness and warmth which was Henry's composition.

Further, Henry extended his attention and energies to helping others and being a solutions provider. This exemplifies Henry's selfless nature. Other's always 1st.

What stands out most was Henry's pride when talking about his 3 son's.

I met Henry 21 years ago when I was saying Kaddish after the loss of my Dad. After he heard the Rabbi say my name, he introduced himself. Over the past year we became friends. I often gave him rides to and from Shul after Henry moved to Deerfield. He called me almost every Friday to wish me a good Shabbos. I will miss my friend.

I am deeply saddened and just seeing that Henry passed last week. I knew him in high school. When I stayed overnight at my Bubbie’s apartment, Henry and I would sometimes walk to Bnai Akiva together. He was fun and kind. Such a good neshama. He will surely rise so high

Henry -his brother Stanly and my late brother Howie and I would go downstairs to the basement during Rabbi Zeev Wines shul at Kesser Maariv Shul ( 1970-1973)/ The sermon was in Yiddish so we went to prepare the kiddish ( we were the official tasters of the herring and gefilte fish etc). Henry was a real Bal teshuva and one of the pillars of the shul/ Henry asked me to try and come on Shabbat mincha maariv to make the minyan -i did my best -we went to the Academy together -In 1973 we made Aliya -Henry visited us in Israel -and told us that (1974-75??) he came by bus / the bus driver made a sudden stop and a beautiful girl landed in his lap -he looked at her and said" I know I'm irresistible but this is aediculas!" He was so funny ! He was Howie's best friend . Henry was friends with my sister Susie and they all kept in touch throughout the years. Henry was a wonderful person and a good Yid !
