Dear Deborah,
I'm so sorry that I can't be there in person to share your sorrow. Your mom was a loving force in my life-for most of my life-and I'm so grateful to have had her there. She wasn't easy. Your devotion to her and your mutual love is a tribute to you both and the strength of your family bonds.
I hope the days and years ahead will be buoyed by good memories of your time together, and knowing that you have my and my family's love and admiration.
Love,
Susan
