Sherwin Sumner, age 83, of Skokie, Illinois passed away peacefully while in hospice care following a brief illness. Husband of Sandra Sumner nee Kominsky. Father of Jeffrey Sumner and Jennifer Sumner and grandfather of Barrett Sumner (of Los Angeles, California). Son of the late Sam and the late Lillian Sumner. Brother of Marvin (Edith) Sumner. Retired Accounting Clerk of Chicago Northwestern Railroad. Served in the United States Army. Graveside service Tuesday 10:30AM at Westlawn Cemetery (Section Maple), 7801 W. Montrose, Norridge. Jennifer and Jeff - Your dad will always hold a special place in my heart. He was always happy to see me when I was at the house (which was a lot). He will be missed! May he rest in peace!

We enjoyed many years of family celebrations together. Whenever we saw him his face would light up when he greeted the girls. We will miss Uncle Sherwin. May he rest in peace.
