I recall when Mel came to Skokie Yeshiva from New York. Mel was always a good friend with a great sense of humor. He was proud to speak of his time in Tulsa. Mel will be greatly missed. May his memory be for a blessing.

I worked with Rabbi Lifsics many years ago at the Northwest Home for the Aged where we became very close friends and found him to be one of the kindest human beings I ever had the pleasure of knowing. He comforted and helped so many of our residents and families in their most vulnerable times. May his memory be a blessing.
