OBITUARY

Herbert Marshall Fishman, age 85.
Beloved husband of the late Diane Fishman (nee Shere). Loving father of Mara (Kevin) Boo, Jeff (Donna) and Bob (Liz Griffin). Proud grandfather of Amelia, Max, Griffin, and Shira. Dear brother of the late Edwin (Joni) and the late Jerome Fishman. An extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Herb will be remembered for his dedication to his family; his determination; his outsized sense of humor; and his loves of classical music, photography, and the Canadian Rockies, where he and Diane lived part-time for more than thirty years. Graveside service Sunday 11AM at Westlawn Cemetery (Westlake Section), 7801 W. Montrose Ave., Norridge. I have so many fond memories with the Fishman family. Mara, Jeff and Bob worked endlessly over the past several years to help Herb maintain the best quality of life. It’s been a joy to be a part of this loving close knit group. My love to you all.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jeff Donna Max Shira and family on the loss of their Dad and Grandfather..I knew Herb through my job at Dundee Pharmacy..He was a nice and kind gentleman and I always looked for to seeing him and talking to him..He will be missed by myself and all that knew him..May his memory be for a blessing.. Dearest Mara, Jeff, Bob & families. Our hearts are saddened by the loss of your father. I loved Herb's huge, friendly smile & his whole-heart laugh. I appreciated his sense of humor & his photography talent. He & Diane were my home away from home in my teen years, my bonus parents. He will be missed tremendously.
