Memories of Joe will always be for a blessing. Joe was one of those unique individuals whose presence made everything around him brighter. Even as he suffered so deeply he made everyone else feel better. He will be tremendously missed. May his lovely wife, Roberta, his children and all who knew him be always mindful of the betterment he brought to all of us. We weep for his sad departure but exalt for the exemplary legacy he left to us all.

Howie and I were so sad to hear of Joe's suffering and passing. Sending thoughts and prayers to Robbi and the entire family. It's been a long time since we've seen each other but we carry fond memories of our younger years. May Joe's memory forever be a blessing to you all. You have our deepest sympathy.

Roberta: My family and I (my mom/dad included) have not seen you and Joe in some time now but have thought of both of you/your family often. I remember the last meaningful conversation that we had at Northwestern Memorial Hospital before you moved to Buffalo Grove. All of us have been very fond of Joe. I know your family is going through something that cannot be described in words. We are thinking of you, Roberta, and your family at this time and sending peaceful prayers to all of you. XO
