I first met Carole while teaching at Graham. i found her to be a warm, caring teacher much loved by her students. After retirement we shared seats at Shakespeare and a love for Neil Diamond. The world is a better place with Carole having been in it.

Ms. Takiff will be greatly missed by her students. She was a wonderful woman who will be remembered fondly. Graham School would not have been the same without her crackers, tic tacks & word puzzles. Whenever I run into former classmates, we immediately remember Ms. Takiff with a big smile. She was so generous to all of her students, from the bulls tickets, to the little things like taking our pictures on Halloween and passing them out. My sister and I were lucky enough to see her a few years ago at the Water Tower. She immediately said, "Hi Jennifer & Alicia, how are your sisters Cherie & Linda? And what about your Uncle Bernie?" She had a wonderful way of making everyone feel special. I graduated in 1993, and almost 20 years later she remembered me & my whole family without pause.
Thank you Ms. Takiff for the kindness & all the warm memories. God Bless!

Carole and I met in 1971 while teaching at Alexander Graham School. We rode home from school together for 33 years. I will miss dining with her before seeing the plays at the Shakespeare Theater and driving her home after each performance.
Carole was a kind, generious, and lovely lady.
My condolences to her family and Alex.

Ms.Takiff was an amazing woman. I remember every time she would sub for the day it was always fun. At the end of the day if you were good you got a tic tac. We used to call her the tic tac lady. At at the end of every year we got white six tickets. She was an extraordinary woman and will be missed.

I had her at Graham 17 years +ago and when I graduated she still kept in contact with my mother checking in on me. She will dearly be missed. I loved hearing her sports stories.

I have became friends with Carole while attending Bulls games. We would go out for dinner at Salerno's which she liked very much, went to college games at the United Center, went to concerts, etc. and she was always fun to be with. She was a very good friend and I am going to miss her - especially when I go to the Bulls games and know she won't be there any more.
