Dear Mitch, Rita, & Sandy,
It is with a heavy heart I write this condolence to all of you today. My preference would have been to stand shoulder to shoulder to offer support to you, as we all prayed for your mom to Rest In Peace, but the pandemic situation prevents that. I loved your mom, she was a wonderful aunt to me. I always thought of her as an "Auntie Mame" type of person, very social, fashionable, always ready for up times, hard working and practical too. I was impressed she was still exercising daily well into her 70's and still driving friends home from dinner until a fender bender intervened. I have not counted the number of times I have tried to make those burgers spread on bun halves she made, but mine still never taste as good as hers. In a way she represented a link to my folks, especially my mom's side of the family, which included your dad, and Davidson grandparents. Your mom's passing made me especially mourn the loss of that connection, until I realized I did not lose the link, it just was passed down to us four. I will be watching virtually, and hope you feel the affection and strength I will be projecting your way tomorrow. Love, Sheila.
