Peter and I were at the University of Chicago Committee on Information Sciences together. Peter was one of my favorite professors; I was a PhD student (along with Thomas Christopher aka TC).

All of us left the U of C at the same time for the same reason and all three of us ended up at Illinois Institute of Technology Computer Science Department. Peter became an Associate Professor there. TC and I became lecturers and PhD students. Eight years later both TC and I were degreed professors there.

Peter was our dear friend with whom we shared many wonderful moments. Moreover, Peter helped me through several difficult times. I am ever so sorry to recently learn from Mrs. Rosemary (Cookie) Rogerio of Peter’s passing. My most sincere condolences.
