OBITUARY

Gerald "Jerry" Morton Greenberg, age 92, died peacefully on July 16, 2022. Beloved husband of 66 years of the late Blanche Rose Greenberg. Devoted son of the late Sam and Molly. Loving father of Russell (Robyn), Scott (Alison Zirn), and Gregory (Judy). Cherished grandfather of Alexi (Jameson O'Neill), Max (Michelle), Asher, Samantha (Matthew Lerner), Jeremy (fiancée Elianna Landau), Gabriella (Andrew Han), Adam and Rachael. Great grandfather of Blake Lerner. Dear brother of Arnold (Susan) Greenberg and the late Arlene (Alvin) Fishman. Son-in-law of the late Frank and Doris Shidler. Fond brother-in-law of Joan Slosberg and the late Zalle Shidler.
Jerry was born and lived his life in Denver, Colorado, where he attended Denver East High School. Jerry was an alumnus of the University of Colorado where he was affiliated with the Pi Sigma Delta fraternity. Jerry served in the U.S. Navy from December 1950 aboard the USS Whiteside and he received an honorable discharge in September 1954. Returning home from the military in 1954, Jerry wasted no time in finding his lifelong partner, Blanche Rose Shidler. They married nine months after meeting in August 1955.
Jerry was Chief Executive Officer and Co-Owner of ECD Company. He had a prolific career as a real estate developer and operator, and was responsible for building and managing over 5,000 multifamily units and various industrial, office and self-storage properties. Beginning in 1985, Jerry's son Scott joined ECD Company and they were close partners and confidants for over 37 years. Together, Jerry and Scott developed ground up landmark multi-use properties and award-winning hotel developments. He remained active in business until his passing.
Jerry was a lucky man and deeply loved.
