As our people are custom to say, May her memory be for a blessing. Unfortunately I did not know Diane personally, only through her youngest child Laurel. From comforting Laurel during Diane's journey home, I know that memory will include a fierce strength that will continue on in her family. ברוך דיין אמת

I am so sorry that I couldn't make it for the service. Diane meant a lot to me and I am so thankful for the times we had together in recent years...especially the "surprise" visit we had here when Stu and she were on a road trip west and landed on our door in South Dakota. It was only for a few hours, but the great memories will last a lifetime. She was my favorite teacher at Senn High School (after the band director) even though I never took her class. I hope I was the best teachers aid she ever had. I always thought of her as family from the first time I met her. She will be missed by so many people whose lives she touched especially mine.
