My dear uncle. My Mom's kid brother. I remember the days when Grandma Carrie, Grandpa Charles, Felice, Menachem and my Mom would argue who would get the NYTimes crossword puzzle first. Catching lightning bugs in DC when Menachem lived there years ago. Menachem in Israel during the Six-Day war and always understanding why I made aliyah. I remember going out to Seattle to visit in 1986. Meyer was maybe two years old. Going to the synagogue on a rainy Shabbos and everyone making me feel so welcome. When Hila was a year old, we came to the States to visit. We were in Brooklyn at my father's house. Menachem came to visit and when he saw Hila in the playpen, he said that she looked just like Rivka. They are only a few weeks apart. Coming to Chicago on business many years ago, so happy to be able to visit. And then of course when Menachem and Devorah visited in Israel, picking them up at the airport, driving to Yerushalayim, visiting Yad Mordechai. During that visit they gave me a wooden cat which is always on the top shelf, looking down at us. Rivka's wedding in Israel. And of course when my cousins came to Kfar Chabad, we spent time with them. And Menachem's walk - just like his father's.

When Mom passed away in March 2018, Menachem sat shiva together and reminisced until late at night. Such a special person. First my Mom passed away in 2018, then Felice in May this year and six months later Menachem. So very sad that they are gone, but they are now together and at peace. We have so many wonderful memories. My dear Uncle, so many people have been influenced by you. You have raised such a special family. Your wonderful spirit and personality will remain with us forever.
