Cherished mother of Steven Sklar and Rabbi/Cantor Daniel (Rabbi/Cantor Shirah) Sklar. Adored Grammie of Samuel, Ava, Ari, Isaac and Jonah. Dear sister of Dr. Harvey (Arlene) Leboe. Sandie was a longtime and devoted member of Congregation BJBE and past Sisterhood president. She enjoyed her years as a CPS teacher, Hebrew school teacher and after-school mentor. Nothing gave Sandie more pleasure than hosting Passover seder and singing seder songs with family and friends. I first met Sandie thru my husband, Paul, who worked closely with Stanley on construction law. We were together at out-of-town meeting and dinners in Chicago. Sandie and I loved being together, taking long walks, analyzing our kids, and dissecting others at these meetings. One of my fondest memories was attending Dan's wonderful wedding in Maine. We would also get together at our houise in Evanston or at the Sklar's in Northbrook, eating, laughing and talking.

I will miss Sandie, her kindness, her friendship and her humorous take on life.
