OBITUARY
Ellen Freeman died on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the age of 85. She was born in Chicago on November 21, 1937. After graduating with a Master’s Degree from Roosevelt College, she served the Chicago community as a beloved children’s librarian in Rodgers Park. An avid reader, Ellen had a gift for telling stories to audiences of all ages, and enriched the lives of those who knew her. She was the beloved daughter of the late William and Eva Freeman. She is survived by her devoted sister Claire Drucker, her nieces Carol Drucker and Karen Rush, her nephew Robert Drucker, cherished cousins Arlene Reed, Ruth Schwartz, and Rosalie Isaacson, and extended family. Services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023, 10:00 AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd, Skokie, IL. Interment at Westlawn Cemetery.
