OBITUARY

Amy Hirsh, 51.
Loving daughter and best friend of Judy Hirsh and the late Arnie Hirsh. Adored sister of Julie Hirsh and Philip (FayeAnn) Hirsh. Dear aunt of Andrew and Zachary Hirsh. Cherished friend to many. Lifetime friend of Allison Good, Lucy Courtney and Laura Dooley. She courageously fought her battle against ovarian cancer and the family thanks and acknowledges the excellent support of the University of Chicago Ovarian Cancer Team.

Service Monday, 2:00 pm at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Road, (one block North of Lake Cook Rd.) Buffalo Grove. Interment private. Amy was such a brave fighter. She faced every challenge with a smile on her lovely face. We will miss her cheerful demeanor at the Princeton Village pool. Our deepest condolences to the family. We know you did everything possible to help her during her long illness. It was an honor to know her, and we will remember her fondly.

I first met Amy in Wilmette when I helped cover summer hours in her preschool classroom. She was full of kindness, love and appreciation for the children in her program. Amy would always smile even in the most stressful times. This became even more apparent as she moved up the educational ladder and became the director of her center.
Amy was always welcoming, greeting everyone she met at each of our One Hope United centers.
I’m sending prayers to her family and friends, hoping that all your wonderful happy memories carry you through these saddened days and nights. Raising a glass to Amy and all those she has touched. She will live on in many hearts for years to come.
