I worked with Mark at Hines VA. He was always kind, generous and helpful. He never hesitated to go out of his way to provide assistance to Veterans and staff alike, and did so with wit and humor. His death leaves a hole in our hearts. Tanchumin.

I worked with Mark for the last 3 years and I am incredibly saddened - what a loss for all of us. I've always appreciated his humor and his enthusiasm and get-ups especially around the different holidays like Halloween, him peeking into our offices with a joke or smile as he lets us know when a patient arrives. I've often observed him going above and beyond to help others, whether staff or Veteran - he was always so patient and such a great source of not just information and resources, but also for wisdom. I'll always remember the stories he shared with me about his life. His presence will truly be missed. My condolences to his family and friends and all whose lives he has touched.

I worked with Mark for the past 3 years at Hines. He always made our floor a joyous place, often dressing up for holidays and bringing everyone something for Valentine's Day. He was very kind and had a great sense of humor. It was truly an honor to know him and his presence will be missed.

Mark was a coworker for 8 years. He quickly became more than a colleague, and quickly became part of the bedrock of our clinic. I always smiled when he walked into the office just wanting to chat or laugh or sharing pizza or whatever. I experienced Mark as a genuine soul who I will never forget. Rest easy my friend, and I pray for his close ones.
