My prayers and thoughts go with you and your family. Your father was a teacher of mine many years ago at Philip Roger school. And the joys of remembering him and your mother being our chaperones for our eighth grade field trip to Washington DC. He was a wonderful teacher and a great man. May he rest in peace

Sorry for your loss. I was one of Mr. Slotnick's first students at Rogers. His approach to teaching was unique. I also lived on the same street as him and will always remember him calling me by my last name when passing his house. My prayers go out to your family.

I am sorry for your loss and my condolences go out to all. I first met "Doc" when he wasn't yet a doctor. He taught special math at Rogers and I was in first grade. He followed my class all the way thru 8th grade and had a great influence on my life beyond being a teacher. He kept me on the straight and narrow all those years. I saw him when I was a student at Loyola U. He taught accounting, and while I didn't have any of his classes, I did stop in to visit and talk. He will be missed.
