Doda Aviva was the aunt from America — that’s how we knew her as children. When she came to visit Israel and the whole extended family gathered under one roof, she was always smiling and laughing, handing out her famous bubble gum we kids were all waiting for.

Years later, after I moved to the U.S., we reconnected. Doda Aviva would call me, and we spoke about family, raising children, our family history, my grandmother Tirza (her sister), as well as politics. She loved Israel deeply and cared so much about her family there. Also, she was always offering advice and wisdom as I raised my girls.

Rest in peace, Doda Aviva 🤍

With deep sadness, i want to say goodbye to a dear and wonderful friend,Aviva whose presence brought comfort, joy, and light to me and everyone around her. She was always there with a big, welcoming smile and, more often than not, a delicious cake made with love. Her kindness, generosity, and quiet way of showing up meant more than words can express. She touched my lives in ways that will never be forgotten and will be deeply missed by me and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Our dear Aunt Aviva was a soul whose inner beauty shone so brightly that everyone who came near her felt its warmth. Like a rainbow, she carried every color within her — compassion, joy, wisdom, gentleness — and each person who met her discovered the shade that spoke directly to their heart.

We were all drawn to her, to the kindness in her eyes and the generosity of her spirit. Her presence wrapped us in comfort, and her love left an imprint that will stay with us always.

May her pure and radiant soul find peace in heaven, and may her memory continue to bless us, guiding us with the same light she shared so freely in life.

Aviva is a collage of treasured melodies in my life... culinary queen, style maven, glowing vitality, laughter, class, kindness, grace, love.
Her spirit lives within Paul, Dina, family, and friends. We say "Aviva" wrapped in her warm embrace.
