Marilyn Kaplan

Hi: Iâ??m Aunt Marilyn Kaplan, sister of Edâ??s Mother, Lorraine Weiner. Eddie was a great guy: Husband, Father and Grandfather. Also, loving companion of Nancy Kesselman.
I recall him as a cute, mischievous kid, often getting in trouble with his parents. Then he would show up at our doorstep until things died down. Ed was very SMART, establishing his own successful business rather than joining his Dad, Alâ??s, U.S. Waterproofing Company. He always had a funny story to tell and was affectionate to our Family. He will be greatly missed!
Aunt Marilyn
p.s. He was close to his Sister Diane and Brother Marty and their Families.

We are so saddened by the death of Eddie and there are so many happy joyous memories we have, but my favorite...... We are having cocktails before going out to dinner with Eddie and our youngest daughter was working on her first grade workbook asking questions out loud Eddie of course was answering every question and Erin looked up and said we had the smartest friend in the whole world. Henceforth in our household Eddie was always known as the smartest man in the whole world. He will be missed Sending love and prayers to the family. Cynthia and Jerry Kosoglad

Ed has been my dear friend since high school. He was brilliant, larger than life, one of a kind fellow. Generous to the max. Never more so than when my daughter required serious medical intervention in 2011. We shared countless good times, a couple of international adventures, and a shared history. I will always remember Ed's laugh. It was distinctive, genuine and hearty. My deepest condolences to the Weiner family and Nancy. I will forever miss Ed.

Eddie always reminded me of a Sabra, tough on the outside, sweet on the inside. The reason I and my family were able to come back to America was because Eddie called me in Israel having heard I wanted to come back and offered me a job. I and my family will miss hearing Ed at my sister's for Jewish holidays, always larger than life with knowledge and wisdom. I especially will miss the light in his eyes when we starting talking about our grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart. To his family and dear friends, may his memory be a blessing for us all.
