I had the pleasure of meeting Herb a few years ago on the Board of Directors for Children's Advocacy Center of North and Northwest Cook County. Herb's passion for the CAC's work was inspiring. He was so dedicated to the CAC's mission - joining calls at 6:00 AM, participating and driving discussion, providing perspectives, etc. Herb's advocacy was admiring, and his contributions everlasting. My condolences to his family.

We lost a very good man in Herb; the world truly needs more humans like him. I met Herb here in our Del Webb community in Rancho Mirage, California. We also golfed together with the Del Webb Bump & Run Golf Club. I will always miss Herb's wonderful smile and his gentle personality. What I loved most about Herb was he always had an ear-to-ear smile and something nice to say. The funny thing about golf is, it will bring out the best and sometimes the "not so best" parts of your personality out on the course, I can tell you Herb never got upset on the course and always was just a fun guy to play with. If you're a golfer you know what I mean. I will miss my friend Herb. I will think of you Thursday mornings on the golf course buddy, rest in peace my friend.

Sincerely,
Ralph

We were heartbroken to hear about Herb's passing. He was the first one that introduced himself to us when we moved to the desert. He and Bonnie are such delightful and warm people. We will miss Herb and will hold Bonnie in our hearts. May his memory be a blessing

I’m so sorry to hear of Herbs passing. He was our neighbor in Rancho Mirage. We went to dinner, and we entertained at each other’s house. He was a special guy. We golfed rogerher many times. Since he lived right across the street, we at times shared a drive to course. We will miss Bonnie and Herb. Never find better neighbors.
RIP Herb

Herbie was a childhood friend from the DuQuoin days. It was a sad day when he moved to Decatur. We did reconnect at Wiggins Ozark Camp. The last time I saw him in person we were about 12. I have always kept up with him through his cousin Carol. I was saddened to learn of his sudden passing. My deepest heartfelt sympathy, hugs , love and prayers for comfort and peace.❤️🙏
