OBITUARY

Barri Colman, age 81. Beloved wife of Warren Colman. Loving mother of Jocelyn (Steve) Snower and Dina (Barry) Tarter. Proud grandmother of David Snower, Jessa Snower, Eden Snower, Seth Snower, Ian Tarter, Lexi Tarter and Cece Tarter. Dear sister of Bruce (Liz) Golbus and Steven Golbus. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Temple Jeremiah, 937 N. Happ Road, Northfield, IL 60093, www.templejeremiah.org, The Nature Conservancy, 4245 N. Barri started as an elementary school teacher; she then taught mathematics at Oakton Community College, and finally she was a CPA for several accounting firms in Chicago and the northern suburbs. Barri was a walker, walking 8-10 miles a day. And she and Warren hiked practically every national park in the United States, as well as in England, France, Italy, Canada, Israel, and Ireland. Barri cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, focusing much of her attention on the family’s next generation.
