Ronit, Sharone, Gill...Patty and I would just like you to know how saddened we are about your/our loss of Mike He was a wonderful human being...natural, no pretense, no affectation, completely genuine. I can still see Mike at the Indian Princess outing in Wisconsin when the temperature reached -40, -60, who knows. There was Mike in an Indian Chief's headdress, completely composed and cheering everyone up.
It is never easy at a time like this...but it must be quietly comforting to know Mike's wonderful effect on so many of us who were lucky enough to know him...Condolences, Patty and Phil Washburn

Sure wished I could have seen him at least one more time. A trip to Chicago won't ge the same without him. Mike was the rare breed who knew everyone in town and made friends with just about anybody and was the perfect type for running a hotel. I guess retirement isn't for everybody and he kept giving till the end. Sorry I am out of town and won't be able to make the funeral.

Myron Levy. This special man and my late father met way back in the 60s. They became fast friends and in no time, our tight knit family had a new member. Uncle Mike. My three sisters and I were lucky to enjoy the open arms, the closeness, the kindness, the big smile, and decades of love and laughter. You will always be in our hearts, dear Uncle Mike. May the four winds blow you safely home. Shalom.
