I went to high school with Gary and we played football together. We then were roommates at WIU. I won't forget those late night talks. He will be missed.

I remember Gary hanging upside down in an inversion contraption that he and his NIU roomates created in their college house attic. Gary was always up for anything and he was the life of the party. I will miss him so much! My thoughts and heart is with all of the Silbar family!

Karen, it is so hard to find words when a family has such a devastating loss but with Gary it is impossible. I did not know him well but I know you are strong and each day gets easier. Keep your faith and your family close and you will see the light at the end of this tunnel.

Dear Max, This is Ms. O., your 2nd grade teacher. I am so very sorry to read that your dad passed away. It is such a painful loss for someone your age. Look for strength from your mom and brother and reach out to friends when you are feeling sad. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Sending a big hug your way.
