Dear Aunt Vivian - Though I only knew you for a few short days, I could see your boldness, your strength and your beauty. There was such great hope of getting to know you better, to go on shopping trips together and to listen to the many stories of days gone by. But the time was condensed and while you were still here, I listened to direct, yet wise words from a lady who had seen the world and had been deeply loved by many. I admired the pure confidence in yourself and the ability to be uniquely you without apology. Thinking of you just makes me smile. I love you and will miss you, Tami

I will start by saying “drink your water”
Little One thank you for our journey! I have gained so much from it………
As we discussed at 2am many days ….
Part of you will be with me until I join you all in the ocean.
So learn to swim before that time????!!!!
Bob will appreciate that when you fall off the boat next time….
I could go on and on but I feel like you know so much about me as well and trust that I will continue to stay in touch with you”the kids” and remind them you loved them and want them to live their very best life!
So go on to whatever your next adventure is and every once in awhile look back and tap me on the shoulder as if to say….
“I’m here”
I LOVE YOU and life won’t be the same…..

Vivian, Miss Bling herself!! It was such a pleasure to know you, I can’t say how much I will miss our late night talks when I worked night shifts at Clearwater.
Vivian would come up to see me and we’d end up talking for at least an hour about anything and everything, but mainly about our sisters. Everyone here will miss Vivian, but it’s comforting to know she’s once again with her sister and with Bob.
Rest easy Vivian, we all love you!

At 86, my Aunt carried with her a whole century’s worth of stories: the places she and Bob discovered together, the quiet mornings and bold adventures, the way they must have looked at each other across the decades and still seen the same spark that started it all. There’s something deeply beautiful about a love that gets to travel the world side-by-side and then, when the journey here ends, simply continues somewhere else.

Now she’s home again, whole, young at heart, if not in years, laughing with Bob like they’re setting off on their next trip, embraced by her sister Dyanne’s familiar teasing, held in the arms of Doris and Sam who have been waiting with that patient, unbreakable parental love. I imagine the reunion was loud with joy, full of catching up and “remember when” and “you won’t believe what happened next.”

She leaves behind a trail of footsteps across continents and across hearts, and the world feels a little brighter because she was in it. May every memory of her bring us all a smile before it brings a tear.

Aunt Vivian’s amazing life isn’t over; it’s just entered its most peaceful, love-filled chapter.
