OBITUARY
Bradley H. Shorser, age 79
Beloved husband of Ellen Shorser nee Einhorn. Loving and proud father of Isaac Shorser. Dear brother of Joanne (Stephen) Shorser-Gentile. Cherished uncle of Leah Shorser-Gentile. He was born in Brooklyn, NY to Helen nee Kirsch and Seymour Shorser, and grew up in a household filled with love and music. Growing up, he fondly remembered traveling to see his extended family in England and taking fishing trips on a small boat far out into the ocean with his dad. He received his undergraduate degree from Long Island University and his graduate degree from Loyola University Chicago. Bradley used his blindness as a motivating force to advocate for the disabled in the workforce and in their daily lives. In the early 90’s he lobbied Washington for the Americans with Disabilities Act, whereon he had the opportunity to meet President Clinton. Brad always surpassed himself. He worked at Sears for 36 years, starting as a management trainee and working his way up to be the import manager at the Sears headquarters in Chicago. He made solo trips around the world to negotiate trade deals on behalf of Sears. Brad loved music (especially live), audiobooks, horse racing, politics, musicals, eclectic foods, and his family most of all. He will be remembered as a loving, funny, relentless, loud New Yorker who never failed to enrich the lives of those lucky enough to know him. He had a unique way of making those around him feel special while truly taking joy in the joy of others. He is missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Seeing Eye P.O.
